Redemption Song

This is a song that is going to be on my church’s very first CD. It’s called “Redemption Song”. It means a lot to me.

I wrote this song when I had no voice. Some of you may remember This Century having to cancel a tour because I was having vocal issues. After canceling and going to the laryngologist, I found out I had a vocal cord polyp. Overwhelmed with fear and anxiety, I worried my singing career was over. After months of vocal rest and voice therapy, I had my singing voice back. God had graciously brought me out of a seemingly impossible situation yet again. This was the very first song I performed after getting my singing voice back and I’m glad that it happened that way. I hope you can appreciate this simple worship song, regardless of your beliefs.

P.S. For those interested, the EP is by CrossWalk and it’s called “Acoustics”. On iTunes September 11!
